Introduction to my course work

My task is to produce a music magazine with a front page, contents page and double page spread. I will do this using pictures I have taken and designs I have created on Photoshop. For my magazine I will be taking a look into political bands and their wide range of genres it will be aimed at people who want to make a stand against all authority figures whether its against their boss, Teachers, government or even the law. During my research I have realised that many people’s cries are gone unheard but they are only made clear through music and the nature of their lyrics. For these reasons I will create my magazine to inspire the public to ask for the truth. Although this magazine would be aimed at the public in general with the language and the topics discussed it would be aimed at 16+ ages but as what the magazine stands for it would be sold as parental advisory with explicit content to reach out at its audience.
This magazine will base its self on most political bands genre of rock but at the same time look bright and colourful it inspire and look towards the future. It will include interviews on what everyday people think, band info, look into the lyrics, freedom fighters page and fighting your Corse.
This magazine will show similarities to magazines such as Rolling stones, Kerrang, NME as a basis for my front page and contents page layouts. This means that the magazine will look as though it is aimed at the male gender although in its contents will include pieces on historical female figures who have inspired and taken charge.
